After the repair of the battery or modules inside the battery pack is completed, it is necessary to conduct a sealing test before installation. Without this test, if the sealing is inadequate and the vehicle drives on wet roads, it can easily lead to water ingress into the battery pack, causing internal circuit short circuits and ultimately accidents. Therefore, testing the sealing of the battery pack is a mandatory requirement.

BATTERY PACK AIRTIGHTNESS TESTER

After opening the HV battery housing for repair purposes, a leak test must be carried out after closing the HV battery housing. The cavity between the HV battery housing and the HV battery pack is pressurised with compressed air while a sensitive sensor detects pressure changes to assess the integrity of the seal. The system provides a real-time pressure curve, warnings of anomalies or faults and visual tracking of the test phases, including pressure build-up, stabilisation, leakage and venting. The system also displays the actual pressure and leakage changes in real time.
